Leading a team of 70+ Business and Technology Information Security Officers, responsible for the protection of Citi Latin America information and technology assets.

Responsible for the transformation of Latam IS Office into a professional and independent organization, capable of providing high-value cyber advisory services and independent risk management to our business partners. This transformation is completed for Latam and in progress for Mexico.

Leading the team responsible for Information Security activities associated with the divestiture of certain Citi operations in Latin America, having developed a framework of activities to be executed and overseen before, during and after the business separation process.

Key responsibilities include:
• Develop a team of high-performer, multi-cultural, geographically dispersed ISOs, helping them to acquire technical and soft skills to perform their job effectively;
• Provide regional senior management with information which allow timely, cyber risk-based decisions;
• Present status report to senior management, as well as escalation for issues which have not been timely addressed;
• Act as a liaison with Internal Audit and other independent reviewers for aspects surrounding Latin America Information Security program;

Participant as panelist in several national and international Information Security Events, organized by prestigious institutions like:

Financial Times;
Organization of American States;
Brazil Banks Association;
Latin America Banks Association;
Brazil’s American Chamber of Commerce;
Brazil Security Leaders.

Previous experience in Information Systems Audit, having worked for PwC between 2000 and 2004, assisting national and multinational companies in internal controls and information security diagnostics and implementations.
