Liliana Marcos Iza is a lawyer who studied at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and has 15 years of office at the Mexican National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV by its acronym in Spanish). Previously she worked with White & Case, S.C. She is the General Director for Regulation and is in charge of drafting all the secondary regulation applicable to the Mexican financial entities supervised by the CNBV. At the CNBV she has been part of the drafting team of laws and regulations of importance for this institution. Such projects include the Fintech Law and secondary regulation, the Financial Reform of 2014, the rule for private equity and Mexican REITs, rules applicable to the derivatives markets, e-banking, regulation pertaining avoiding identity theft in financial services, bestselling practices in the securities and mutual funds markets, among others.
